In case you haven’t noticed, fashion has been going in a very androgynous direction in the past couple of years. Over-sized fits, sneakers with everything, and sweatpants as fashion are all well and good, but sometimes I just feel like taking a break from all that and embracing my inner girly-girl. So please excuse the ultra feminine vibe of this outfit, because sometimes I just can’t help myself.

Happy Thursday, and thanks for reading! xo

First of all, I’d like to say, thank you mom for this skirt and shirt you got me for Christmas last year. You really knew exactly what I wanted. 🙂 When I opened these on Christmas morning, they were wrapped in the same box. At the time, I would’ve never thought to wear them together, seeing as how they are both printed. However, with all the print mixing I’ve been playing with lately I thought…hey, what the hell, let’s just see how it looks. I think the result was pretty fun. The reason this works is because both the top and skirt are in the same color scheme, and though they are both printed, the top’s print is smaller and less graphic, where as the skirt has a larger, more obvious print. Together, they balance one another out. And that, my friends, is how to mix prints. You’re welcome.

Have a great Wednesday, and thanks for reading! xo
