There really is no place like home for the holidays. As much as my family is so crazy, I do miss them and I miss my hometown of Franklin, TN from time to time. This afternoon my sister and I ventured into the cold to downtown Franklin to grab a late light lunch at the Frothy Monkey. Delicious. Who doesn’t love a coffee shop that also sells wine and cheese plates?!

All in all, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my Christmas Eve and hope you have enjoyed yours as well. Now I suppose its time to go to sleep with sugar plums dancing in my head and all that jazz. Merry Christmas everyone! xo

Hello world. I just finished up my school semester yesterday. I’m feeling really accomplished because it has been since 2007 that I was last in school and I was a little intimidated going in last August. However, I have found that I still have some brain cells left after all this time and, *fingers crossed* I’m pretty sure I can say that I got straight A’s. Woot Woot! Now that school is out of the way, I am ready to hit the holiday season HARD. Today’s look is a fun holiday party ensemble that I plan on sporting to my work Christmas party next week. Even though I personally never need an excuse to wear sparkly things, Christmas is definitely the time to break your sparkly duds out. A statement shoe never hurts either. I love this pair of Sam Edelmans I scored at Urban Outfitter’s Black Friday sale. They were the last pair, in my size…so…hey, you can’t argue with fate! At least that’s what I tell myself.
